Fifth Wheel Hitches are not vehicle specific. You will want to choose a hitch whose capacity exceeds the weight of your trailer and all gear (including tank contents) placed in it.

A standard, non sliding hitch would be fine if your GMC has the 8 foot bed. If you have the 6 foot bed, you will want a fifth wheel hitch with a slider. If your truck bed is shorter than 6 feet, you will need to use a non sliding hitch in conjunction with a Sidewinder Replacement Pin Box. The Sidewinder relocates the pivot point between the hitch and the trailer from the king pin to the turret, 22 inches to the rear. This provides more clearance between the truck cab and the front of the trailer, allowing you to make turns without having the trailer strike the rear of the cab.

The Reese 18K Select Plus hitch you were looking at would be a great choice. The 4-way pivoting head is a great feature of this hitch, it makes hitching the trailer much easier when the terrain is not perfectly flat.

You will also need an install kit. We offer a vehicle specific Custom Install Kit for your Sierra, part # RP50064-58.

I will provide a link to the install kit mentioned above, as well as more information about the Sidewinder Replacement Pin Box. You can find these links below.
