Does P3 Brake Controller Stay On All the time on a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
Replaced the factory brake controller in my 2011 ram 3500 with a p3 and the pig tail. 3021. I turn the truck off and the controller is still powered up but everything is off key out doors been opened ect. ??? Any suggestions I wasnt going to reflash the computer would this cause it ?

Brake controllers such as your new P3, # 90195, will stay active until about 15 minutes of sensing no activity and then they will go into a power saving mode.
If the controller does not go into power saving mode then there is likely some power draw making it think there is still activity. The most likely cause of this is a dirty or corroded trailer connector on the truck, trailer, or both.
Make sure the connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside where the wires attach as well as on the pins.
