The distance from the top of the mounting bracket on the Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier, part # TR-1 to the center of the tire mounting bracket is 9-1/2 inches.
A typical 15 inch tire will extend about 5 inches below the top of the bumper mounting bracket. Check out the photo I have attached and you can see the tire extends about an inch or so below the bumper on the back of the trailer.
