How to Pick Out Parts for Adding Drum Electric Brakes to a Trailer
Question:
I would like to add electric drum brakes to my bass boat trailer. I know the bolt spacing is 5 on 4 1/2. Do you make a kit to do this? Just the brakes, hubs..etc. I have a controller, I just need to add the brake parts to the trailer.

We have the parts you would need to add electric brakes to your trailer, but we do not have them all together in a kit. You should note that most people try to avoid running electric brakes on boat trailer since water and electricity don't mix well generally. We recommend unplugging the trailer connector before backing the trailer into the water.
I attached a help article that will walk you through the whole process. But basically you would need to determine first what spindles you have on your trailer so that you can get the correct hubs to fit them and then match the brake assemblies to them as well. See link.
I wish there was an easy recommendation I could make that I could guarantee would fit your trailer, but you will need to do a little homework on your end before we know what would work for you.
