Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2011 Toyota Prius
Question:
Interested in your Swagman XTC-2 - 2 bike platform for 1.5 or 2inch trlr hitch, for 2011 Prius. So, where do I go, or how do I get the ball/hitch to fit this Prius so the rack will work?. Ive been up under the car, I dont see how the hitch will attach. I certainly dont want anything permanent, but a hitch I can remove if or when I would to trade the car in for another Prius.

Since you are looking for a non-permanent solution for carrying bikes with your 2011 Toyota Prius a trunk mounted bike rack would be your best option.
The Thule OutWay part # TH45JV has been confirmed as a fit for you vehicle and is the nicest trunk rack we carry.
What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses only 2 rubber coated straps to attach to the vehicle rather than 6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer.
This rack also comes with locks for the rack and the bikes to deter theft.
If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
Or for a hitch you would want the part # 24847 and the Swagman XTC2 bike rack part # S64670. I attached an install video for the hitch to show you how it installs.
