The wiring harness I recommend when flat-towing your 2002 Dodge Dakota is the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, part # RM-155.
This system bypasses your Dakota wiring by running the wiring beneath the truck. This does require installing the bulbs with sockets into the tail light housing on the Dakota. The kit includes all of the necessary wiring and hardware along with the instructions.
