Electric Winch Recommendation for Mounting to Trailer for Rolling Loads
Question:
Im looking for a light duty 12v winch that I can mount on the front wall of a utility trailer to pull a heavy rolling load up on the trailer bed. The superwinch LT 3000 looks like it would do fine. Do you have a mounting plate that would allow me to mount the winch to the front wall of the trailer? The optimum situation would be some way to mount it such that it could be removed very easily, some sort of way to put it in place easily and then remove it when its not needed. Thanks!

The Superwinch LT3000 part # SW1130220 would work well mounted to the front wall of your trailer as long as you can brace it enough.
Superwinch doesn't offer a purpose-built mount for what you're needing, so I'd fabricate a mounting plate for wall of the trailer, and have the plate on the underside somehow tied or welded into the frame of the trailer. Otherwise, you could possibly have the load pull the winch off the trailer which could be dangerous.
