How Long Should it Take for a CTEK Battery Charger to Charge a 6 Volt Battery
Question:
wondering how much time will be required to fully charge my 6 volt optima battery 50ah it think . It had a partial charge 6v on my voltmeter when I connected the CTEK about 4 days ago but the bulk charge lamp is still lit. kindly advise.

It should only take 1 night at most for CTEK battery charger # CTEK56191 to charge the 6 volt battery. It is capable of charging batteries with 1.2 to 32 amp hour ratings. It will only maintain the charge if the battery is rated for 33 to 100 amp hours.
Sometimes the ground connection can cause the charger to not charge properly which has happened to me. Make sure the ground location is clean and free of dirt and corrosion or try moving to a different ground location.
If that doesn't work then it is possible that if the battery was too far gone that the charger will not be able to fully charge and/or recondition the battery.
I have also found that removing the charger and unplugging it and then plugging it back in and reattaching it can also help. Make sure to follow the specific procedure outlined in the charger's instructions.
