Recommended Carrier for 360-lb Scooter for Use in 2-Inch Front Hitch on 2011 Ford F-250

Question:

I have a 2011 F250 with a front hitch. I am wanting to carrier a Kymco People GT300i which weighs about 360 Ibs. I am pulling a camper on the rear hitch so the front is the only option. What would you recommend?

All of the front-mount 2-inch hitches offered for your 2011 Ford F-250 have the same 500-lb vertical load limit so this means your 360-lb Kymco scooter and the carrier you use to transport it must not together weigh more than this 500-lbs.

The Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier # UF48-979033 has a carrying capacity of 500-lbs which is more than enough for the GT300i, and the carrier itself weighs only about 48-lbs so this combination will work with your hitch's capacity.

You'll want to take care that your scooter does not restrict airflow to the engine or block your headlights and you'll want to use tie-downs like # 317-412080 to secure the scooter to the carrier.
