Electrical Plug on Back of CIPA Rearview Mirror Keeps Falling Out
Question:
The wires in the harness connector to the mirror keeps coming out. My guess is that I need new female pin connectors. Would you know what they are, or where to get them, are the vehicle specific? I could be looking for years I am afraid to say?

The wide connector that plugs into the back of CIPA rearview mirror # CM36400 is supposed to clip and lock into place. If you are pushing it in all the way and it still falls out then there is either a problem with the little clip that holds it in or on the mirror housing itself.
The connector is specific to the mirror so you wouldn't be able to find a replacement anywhere. If it was like this from the start it might be something that is covered under the 1-year limited warranty. If you are out of the warranty period the only option left is to replace the mirror.
