Clearance Using Yakima Full Swing 4 Bike Rack, # Y02465, on 2003 Toyota Rav4

Question:

Will this bike rack work on a 2003 Toyota Rav4 that has the spare tire on the back of the vehicle? Please let me know as soon as possible, as I am trying to purchase a bike rack but really like the full swing part.

On your 2003 Toyota Rav4, you will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point on the rear of the vehicle, in this case, the spare tire. If that measurement is greater than 6-1/2 inches, the 4 Yakima Full Swing 4 Bike Rack, # Y02465, will not fit.

On some hitch installations we have done on the RAV4, we have come up with 4 to 7 inches needed to clear the spare tire but you will need to measure your RAV4 to be certain.
