Hitch Ball Recommendation that is 2-5/16 Diameter with 1-1/4 inch Diameter Shank
Question:
I have a question or two regarding HITCH BALLS.My current one is 2 5/16 .It says G-1A7 V-5 15000 Lb on it. I would like to replace it with a new one. What is the BEST one to get? Also,I measured my ball mount inside diameter, and it is measuring 1.28 with digital calipers. The hitch balls are 1.25.Is it okay to have some slop,or should it fit into the hole pretty tight?

Sounds like you are looking for a 2-5/16 inch diameter hitch ball with a 15k capacity that has a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank.
For a hitch ball that fits your criteria exactly you would want the part # C40030.
If your ball hole is .03 larger than the diameter of the hitch ball you install into it you would be totally fine.
