Roof Rack, Paddleboard, and Kayak Carrier for a 2011 Nissan Murano SL AWD
Question:
My Murano has the factory installed roof rails that run from front to rear, but no crossbars at this point. I am interested in porting both paddleboards and kayaks. What kind of roof rack options make sense to handle this need? Can I port a paddleboard and kayak at the same time, or are the options limited to one or the other only? Thanks.

First for a roof rack that is inexpensive and that will be easy to put on and take off of your 2011 Nissan Murano and factory side rails I recommend # SR1098. Then what you can do to carry a paddleboard and kayak at the same time is use Rhino-Rack SUP pads # RRRWP03 to protect the board from the roof rack crossbars.
Then you could use a J-style kayak carrier # SR5511 for he kayak. Since this carrier holds the kayak on its side there could be enough room for the paddleboard depending on how wide it is.
Consult the vehicle owners manual and/or Nissan for the roof side rail/roof capacity prior to loading.
