Best Pin Box Recommendation for Turning Radius and Cushioned Ride

Question:

I have a new 2015 Ram 3500 Mega Cab with a short bed not a dually and am pulling a 2015 Grand Design 379 FL that is 101inch wide. I would like to change my King Pin witch is currently a LCI Trail Air model 1621. It is mounted to pin box, LCI 3397361. I need a better turn and backup radius. What do you recommend? I looked at the Sidewinder. What will give me the best turning ability and cushion ride? This is all new to me and I busted my rear window this weekend and need a solution.

For the best turning radius and ride quality you would want a Sidewinder with a 5th Airborne cushioned pin box.

Since you have a Lippert 1621 pin box on your trailer the correct Sidewinder 5th Airborne would be the part # RP61422.

The Sidewinder moves the pivot point back for the trailer back 22 inches which will make the trailer track better behind your vehicle and will increase the turning radius without requiring the use of a slider hitch.

I attached a few help articles that will provide you with more info for you to check out as well.

The Fifth Airborne portion of the pin box will reduce longitudinal shock by 60 percent, and vertical shock by 44 percent.
