Trunk Mount Bike Carrier for a 2011 Ford Mustang Coupe with Factory Spoiler

Im in the process for looking for a bike rack to carry my bike on my 2011 Mustang 2 door. I am not sure what brand is the best way to go or the differences between the different racks that will best suite my car. Thank you!

For a vehicle like your 2011 Ford Mustang with rear spoiler you will need a trunk mount carrier that has a long rear to go up and over that spoiler. For this I recommend the Saris Bones 2, # SA805BL. This rack has a long reach and the arms move independently of each other for greater adjustability compared to other racks. I have included a link to a video review of this rack for you.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
