Which Nerf Bar is Left and Which is Right for Westin 4-1/2 Inch Oval Nerf Bars 2011 Ford Expedition
Question:
Hi, I just had 4inch oval Westin nerf bars installed on my 2011 Expedition XLT. The actual step pads are the same width, but one is short and the other long. Question. Should the long pad be in front and the small in back? Should the word Westin oriented so you can read it or upside down? Should the steps be lower than just under the door itself? Theres very little help provided in stepping up using a running board thats mounted almost as high as the bottom of the door in the first place. Believe the mechanic installed them improperly or he ordered the wrong model in the first place.

On Westin tube steps # 22-5025-1105 the shorter pad will be the front pad on both sides of the 2011 Ford Expedition. You should be able to read the Westin name if facing the vehicle looking down at the pads. If you were inside the vehicle looking at the pads the Westin name would be upside down.
Tube steps nowadays are designed to fit tighter to the vehicle but the tops of them should be at least slightly below the bottom of the vehicle body.
If your mechanic ordered # 22-5025-1105 then it is the correct kit for your 2011 Expedition.
