Does Front Mounted Trailer Hitch 31198 Require Skid Shield Removal on a 2008 Toyota Tundra
Question:
I see you offer 2 front hitches for the Tundra, one says front skid shield must be removed, the other does not say that. Does the second one allow the skid shield to remain on the truck. Interestingly it is the least expensive of the 2 thanks for the help

My contact at Curt confirmed that you would not need to remove the skid shield to install hitch # 31198 on your 2008 Toyota Tundra.
You will need to remove your tow hooks, but these would be reinstalled once the hitch installation is complete.
You can view the hitch installation instructions at the link provided.
