The first thing you will need to know is if the trailer can be used with weight distribution since it has an aluminum frame. You will need to call the manufacturer and they will be able to tell you if that particular aluminum frame is compatible with weight distribution.

To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.

If the trailer has a gross weight rating of 10,000 pounds and you are loaded to that capacity then the tongue weight would likely be 1,000 to 1,500 pounds but you are limited to the capacity of the hitch and vehicle.

Since the hitch/vehicle top out at 1,000 pounds tongue weight I recommend a system that is rated for 600 to 1,200 pounds tongue weight such as # RP66560. This system uses friction sway control and will not require any additional drilling into the frame. The included shank has a max rise of 6-1/2 inches and max drop of 1-1/4 inches. Other shanks are available separately if more rise or drop is needed.

For a 2-5/16 inch ball use # 19286. I have included some helpful links on weight distribution and determining tongue weight for you. When setting up the system you will first couple the trailer to your Escalade and let the factory leveling system do its thing. Then you would engage the spring bars on the weight distribution system. The factory leveling system may or may not have to readjust again.
