How to Get Bottom Hooks in Place when Installing Trunk Mount Bike Carrier on 2007 Infiniti G35
Question:
Had purchased a Thule 2 bike rack previously, but returned it because the rubber coated clips did not fit at the bottom of the trunk of my Infiniti G35x. What can I do to make it fit? The trunk closes tight and the clips do not fit. Please help...I need a bike rack!

The issue you are experiencing is common. What you will have to do is after securing the top clips on a trunk mount carrier such as the Passage # TH910XT you will need to open the trunk slightly, get the bottom hooks in place and shut the trunk lid. I have to do this on both of my vehicles in order to install the lower hooks. And as Billy Dee Williams said, Works every time.
