Fifth Wheel Rail Placement Location in a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD Long Bed
Question:
I purchased the Reese Towpower 30035 20K Fifth Wheel Rail Kit, but the provided instructions do not give full dimensions for installation. I know for my 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD Long Bed, it is 30inch from the rear of the bed to the rear rail, but how far apart does it need to be from the front rail? I am installing a 15k RBW lil RockR hitch. Thank you for your assistance.

The front rail will need to be 22 inches from the center of the rear rail to the center of the front rail.
So you will measure 30 inches from the back edge of the truck bed and that will be where the rear of the rear rail will sit. The front rail will then be 22 inches in front of that rail measured on center.
