Can Personal Water Craft Trailer Tires/Wheels Be Changed from Load Range B to Load Range C
Question:
Hi have 4:80 12 wheels with B rating on my jetski trailer. Need new tires/wheels, should I upgrade to a class C tire for added higheway safety or replace with another B?

Changing your PWC trailer tires to a higher load rating will certainly give you some extra safety margin and may help reduce the tires' operating temperatures, which is always a good thing.
In your 4.80-12 size we offer pre-mounted tires/wheels in Load Range C in either a 4-on-4 bolt pattern or a 5-on-4-1/2 pattern. You can use the link provided to select Load Range C tires and your wheel bolt pattern.
For example, for a 4-on-4 white wheel and Load Range C bias ply tire you can use part # AM30620; for a similar item with a 5-on-4-1/2 pattern I recommend # AM30660.
This change will not necessarily increase your trailer's weight capacity since that depends on several factors including the axle rating and hub rating.
