Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback
Question:
Can you please confirm the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount is compatible with a 2010 Mazda 3 *Hatchback*? I purchased a trunk-mounted bike carrier from REI a couple of years back, got it home, and saw that it was not safe to mount on this particular car because of where the bottom bar would rest on the body of the car. I definitely dont want to order this item if I have to end up sending it back.

I checked with Thule and the Thule Passage part # TH911XT that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback so I would recommend it for you.
Here are the install notes for using the rack on your car:
Place top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk, hatch or door.
Place lower clips in the bottom edge of trunk or hatch.
Lower arm of carrier should be positioned on upper tier of bumper.
