What Ranch Hitch 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter Will Work on 2010 Ford F350 6-1/2 ft bed
Question:
I just purchased a 30ft toy hauler. I would like to tow with my 2010 F350 Diesel 6.5 ft bed. I just installed B&W Gooseneck hitch in my bed. What adapter do I want for the trailer? What size? How tall? Thanks!

If you are going to use your B and W gooseneck hitch in your 2010 Ford F350 Diesel with a 6.5 foot bed to tow your new 30 ft toy hauler, then you will want to use an offset adapter like the Ranch Hitch Fifth-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, # AM3139, to give you additional clearance when making turns. For trucks with beds shorter than 8 ft, a sliding fifth wheel hitch is recommended because it will provide the required clearance to safely make a 90 degree turn.
The Ranch Hitch offset adapter will provide an additional 8 inches of clearance between the cab of your truck and the trailer and it will allow you to make a sharper turn than if you did not have the adapter. If your main concern was to safely make a 90 degree turn, then I would recommend using a sliding fifth wheel hitch like the Pro Series 20K Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch and Installation Kit, # PS30121 and # RP30035.
If you choose to go with a sliding fifth wheel hitch, it is important that you choose a hitch with a high enough towing capacity for your trailer. I have attached a link to all of the fifth wheel hitches and installation kits for your truck.
