Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for a 1992 Ford F-350

Question:

Hello I would like to install rails on my 1992 Ford F-350 single rear wheel, long bed. It does has overload springs. I currently have a pair of universal rails with L brackets. These were previously installed in late 80s early 90s Dodge Ram. I have a Lil Rocker hitch by RBW and I believe the rails are from RBW that came as a complete install kit rails and hitch. The hitch and rails are probably 80s-90s vintage since that was the truck they came off of from original owner. Will these brackets fit my truck? They look exactly like the RP30035 rails except for no center holes. The rails are 43inch long and approx. 5.75inch wide. They do not have a center hole, only several square holes near ends. I need a hardware kit of blots, shims, spacers, etc to install these rails. Thanks!

Your best option is going to be to go with the Reese Universal fifth wheel rail kit part # RP30035 that you referenced.

It looks like your older rails are the industry standard dimension rails that most fifth wheel rails will fit in, but we can't recommend a bracket kit for an unknown set of base rails. Especially one as old as yours. We cannot recommend them because there have been several fit issues between base rails and frame brackets between manufacturers.
