Brake Controller and Installation for a 2014 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

The wiring adapter that came with my 4Runner has a green headlamp switch to vehicle tail lamps and a green-yellow wire vehicle stop lamp switch to brake controller input. There are no corresponding wires on the universal wiring harness did not come with the unit. What should I do with them?

To install a brake controller like the Prodigy P2 part # 90885 that you referenced all you need is the 4 wires to install the controller. Sometimes vehicles will have extra wires ran to the brake controller port (like in your case), they just simply aren't used.

All you need is the part # 3040-P to install the controller. You will need to run the ground wire of the harness as well. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
