Question:

Which trunk mount rake would you recommend for a 2015 Chrysler 200s? Either capacity of 2 or 3 bikes. Thank you very much.

If you are looking for a good entry-level bike carrier the Thule Passage 3, # TH911XT is a good choice. This is a basic carrier with anti-sway cradles and it will secure to your 2015 Chrysler 200s using 6 straps.

The next step up is going to be the Gateway, # TH78VR, which has an upgraded style and design from the Passage. The Gateway Pro, # TH78VR, has the same basic design as the Gateway only it features upgraded cradles with road dampening technology, and an integrated cable lock.

But the cream of the crop is the OutWay, # TH56BV. I own an older version of this carrier and it is by far the easiest trunk mount rack I have ever used. It also has some features not found on most other racks such as the ability to lock the carrier to the vehicle (by not allowing access to the mechanism used to control the cables).

It also features a cable lock and the upgraded cradles. But my favorite feature has got to be the 2 retractable cables it uses instead of 4-6 straps of other carriers. The cables are more durable than straps and the retract into the rack so no loose straps are flapping in the wind.

I have included some links to video reviews of these carriers for you.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
