Trunk Mount Bike Carrier for a 2011 Nissan Murano

Question:

Looking at the Thule TH910XT bike rack. While the rack is on the car can I open the hatch/trunk? Or will it bend the roof? Had a friend with this problem. What are your thoughts about a rack for my 2011 Nissan Murano and could I open the back while this rack is on? Just dont want to dent my car

First, for a trunk mount bike carrier for your 2011 Nissan Murano I actually recommend the Thule OutWay Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Adjustable Arms # TH45JV. This carrier is designed to work with most factory spoilers. It is also the only rack that allows you to open the hatch/trunk with the rack installed. You still could not open it with the rack loaded with bikes. The Thule OutWay has many great features, including locks for both the rack and the bikes. It also is the easiest to install because it used only two straps instead of the usual 4-6 of other racks.
