Recommended Screws to Install Horse Trailer Pads

Question:

Im looking into purchasing several of your horse trailer pads. I see you recommend the PS-8 screw which looks like it works good for wood. My trailer is an insulated aluminum framed wall and aluminum skin. It has a Rumber composite material on the bottom half below the windows see similar pic. The top half of the pad will be screwed into the aluminum while the bottom half and sides into the Rumber. What type of screws do you recommend for this type of installation?

Expert Reply:

The PS-8 screws should work very well going into either material you mentioned. The threads are coarse enough that they'll get good hold on the aluminum or the rubber. For best results, you'll want to ensure that as many screws as possible go into the wall support framing behind that aluminum skin for maximum hold.
