How to Trailer Suspension Hangers Attach to a Trailer
Question:
I need to move the axle on a utility trailer forward..... are there hangers that can be bolted on instead of welded. Its a light duty trailer built with 2x2 x .125 tube, capacity 1500 lbs

Expert Reply:
Suspension hangers for trailers like the part # 115917 need to be welded on. There are no options for bolt on hangers so your best option would be to have a qualified welder/fabricator move your current ones.
The goal should be for axle place that when the trailer is loaded it would have 10-15 percent of the total weight of the trailer as tongue weight.
