How to Determine Tongue Weight of Trailer for Picking Out Weight Distribution System

Where or how do I find my empty tounge weight for my 2007 jayco jay flight RK25, I am trying to install a weight dist hitch and need to know the weight.

To determine the tongue weight of your trailer when it is unloaded or loaded will require you to weigh it. For more info on that check out the link I attached. The tongue weight of a trailer isn't always listed.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on weight distribution for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
