Recommended Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier For 2014 Chevrolet Cruze
Question:
I need a cargo carrier that will fit a mobility scooter with 20inch width. Im concerned that the #6500 would be a really tight fit. Is there anything just a little wider that would fit the 1 1/4 hitch. Also my car has the rear park assist, souls installing a hitch create problems with that?

The trailer hitches we offer that are designed to fit your 2014 Cruze are Class l hitches and any cargo carrier you select is going to be limited due to the carrying capacity of your vehicle. You will also want to make sure you have the clearance at the back of your Cruze when you want to attach any accessories like a cargo carrier or bike rack. From the hitches we offer for your Cruze the clearance distance is about 6-1/2 inches so as long as you choose a hitch mounted accessory with more than 6-1/2 inches clearance you should be good to go.
The Curt Cargo Carrier, part # C18110 measures 20 x 48 inches and has a 300 lb weight capacity. The clearance distance for this carrier is 6-3/4 inches. I have attached a link to a test course video for this carrier you can check out.
