Recommended Kit to Inflate/Deflate Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs on a 2005 Ford F-250
Question:
I have an onboard air system installed on my truck. What airbag controller do you recommend?

It depends on why you have the airbags in your 2005 Ford already. Are you towing or are you loading the truck's bed? Or both?
Single function compressors, like part # F2158, are generally for towing because the weight on the truck's axle will be centralized coming from the hitch.
On the other hand if the additional weight is loaded into the truck bed, such as a truck bed camper or some other cargo, the weight often isn't equal from one side to the other so a dual function, like part # F2178, is the better option.
If you're answer to the questions is "both" then I'd go with the dual function just to cover your bases. You can always inflate the bags equally using a dual function so you'd be good to go either way.
