Can Rear Hatch be Opened on 2011 Honda CR-V with Cargo Carrier Mounted in Hitch
Question:
Can the rear cargo door be opened with rack in place?

Helpful Expert Reply:
You should not have any problem opening the rear hatch on your 2011 Honda CR-V with a trailer hitch mounted cargo carrier such as # C18110 installed. The position of the hitch is low enough that even with a rise in the shank of the carrier it will not come up enough to interfere with the rear hatch. Cargo loaded on it would depend on the height of the cargo.
Most bike carriers would be in the way with the exception of swinging away carriers such as # TH9027XT (2 inch hitches only).
