What is the Overall Length of 3-Inch Suspension Bolts for Shackle Links
Question:
my bolts are 3 1/4inch end to end. are your 3inch bolts the same? and the old shackle links have an oblong hole on one end. is that from wear? do i need the wet bolts?

I went to our warehouse to pull each bolt and the length of 3-inch bolts like # 126B2 (overall length end to end 3-5/16 inches plus zerk fitting of 5/16 of an inch) and # 166081 (3-3/8 inches overall length end to end).
The reason your shackle links are oblong in shape is from wear and tear. The bolt holes should be round and each hole should be exactly the same diameter. For example, the Redline shackle strap # 115052 has bolt hole diameters of 9/16 of an inch.
I would recommend the wet suspension bolt like # 126B2 over the regular bolt like # 166081 because the wet bolt has a grease zerk in it with a channel leading to the center of the bolt. It makes it very easy to grease the bolt while installed. With a dry bolt, you will need to find another way to apply grease.
I included a installation review on the wet suspension bolt # 126B2 for you too.
