Trunk-Mount Bike Carrier Recommendation For 2013 Volkswagen Routan
Question:
I am interested in the Thule TH910XT bike carrier for our 2013 Volkswagen Routan. Will it fit ? We do not want a hitch solution, but something to strap on max 2 bikes Thanks

The Thule Passage Bike Carrier, part # TH910XT will work well on your 2013 Volkswagen Routan.
This bike carrier has a patented FitDial system which makes sure you have a good fit on your Routan. The carrier features cushioned anti-sway cradles that prevents bike-to-bike contact. The carrier folds when not in use for easy storage. The carrier can carry 2 bikes that weigh up to 35 lbs each. I have attached a link to a product review video for this carrier you can check out.
If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance.
