Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2005 Cadillac Escalade
Question:
I have a 2005 Cadillac escalade ESV platinum edition, which I believe, has the 4L65E transmission. I am going to be pulling a trailer that is 5600 lbs and I am concerned about the effects of towing on my transmission. Someone had suggested I add an aftermarket transmission cooler with an electric fan as well as a shift kit. Can you provide a recommendation for both. Thanks

We don't carry shift kits for your transmission but we can definitely help with a transmission cooler.
The way to pick one out for a vehicle is to go with the largest one you can fit in the available space in front of your radiator/AC condenser.
The Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D15950 is a great option that can be mounted virtually anywhere as it has a fan and does not require direct air flow. If you really want to go with a fan/cooler this would be a great option.
Otherwise the # D13504 would be a great option for without a fan. This will require the use of the fitting part # D13035 fitting to make the install easier.
