What Way Does the Magnet Arm Bow on Dexter 10
Question:
I have a 5th wheel need to replace brakes on it.But i think the front brake assembly on passenger side is the wrong one.the bow that holds magnet is on the back side.i watch your video and it said bow to the front.is that right Thanks Mr Smith

Yes that is correct, the bow will always face forward on electric drum brakes. The magnet will be on the bottom and the arm that the magnet is attached to will bow towards the front. Also the shorter brake pad will always be in the front of the assembly and the longer brake pad on the rear of the assembly, the reason is that the shorter pad will contact the drum first to slow the trailer down and the larger pad will then contact the drum to finish stopping the trailer, so both pads will wear evenly.
Also the magnet does not have to be wired in any particular polarity, one wire is for the power and the other is a ground.
