How to Pick Out Nev-R-Adjust Self Adjusting Brake Assemblies for a Trailer

Question:

My Featherlite enclosed car hauler has 4800 lb torsion axles. I would like to go with the nev-r-adjust brakes. What would you recommend? Thanks.

To pick out brake assemblies for your trailer you are going to need to know two things about your current trailer setup. You will need to know the size of your current brake assemblies (most likely 12 inch by 2 inch), and the bolt pattern of the brake mounting flanges of your trailer (most likely 5-bolt).

I attached a picture that shows where to measure. All that's left to do would be to count the amount of bolts that hold the assemblies to the flange. It should be either 5 or 4.

Most likely you would want the part # 23-459 for the right hand side and part # 23-458 for the left hand side. These are 6k rated assemblies with a 5 bolt mounting pattern that are self adjusting. These are 12 by 2 as well.
