Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendations to Fit 2015 Ford Hitch Prep Rail Kits
Question:
I am purchasing an F-250. What is the difference between adding a 5th wheel with and without having the truck come with the 5th wheel prep package? Is it safer to use one way or the other?

If you plan on towing a fifth wheel trailer I would recommend you go ahead and get the hitch prep package. The underbed rail design of this package is one of the nicest fifth wheel rail systems on the market.
If you go with a short bed truck you would want a slider hitch like the part # RP30144 so that you can make tight turns. If you get a long bed you wouldn't need the slider and could instead get a stationary hitch like part # RP30921.
