Troubleshooting 3035-P Connector Doesn't Power Brake Controller When Installed in a 1998 Ford F-250
Question:
I can connect the Tekonsha 3035-P wiring harness and the brake controller to the Ford Factory installed plug but there is no power to the brake controller. I checked 20 AMP fuse which is okay. I notice when connected my right turn signal come on and burns steady. Is there an issue with connecting factory installed wiring to the battery or grounding?

It sounds like the pin out for your # 3035-P may be off. You may actually have a different harness that uses the same connector, but has a different pin out on the side that installs on the vehicle.
You will want to verify that the pin out of your connector matches what is in the picture I attached.
If yours is different you can use a paper clip to release the wires from the connector so that you can move them where they belong.
