Installation of Base Rails on a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with a Custom Made Flatbed

I have a 2008 ram 3500 I took my bed off and installed a cm flatbed. i took my rails and installation kit off when I removed my old bed. how do I go about installing rails on my flatbed? can I use the install kit I already have?

Yes, you can use the base rails you initially had installed on your 2008 Dodge Ram pickup, but you will likely need to have custom brackets made so your base rails can fit properly on your flatbed.
The reason you may need custom brackets made is flat beds tend to sit higher off the truck frame than a standard bed. If this is the case with your bed, the current frame brackets will not be tall enough to attach the base rails.
Also, if your bed is taller than your old bed, you will need to ensure you can adjust the height on your fifth wheel hitch or pin box to accommodate for the extra height in your truck bed.
