Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2012 Kia Sorento
Question:
Can this harness be directly tapped into my blinker and break light wires? I have a hitch, but no wiring for trailer lights. This is for a 2012 Kia Sorento

Your 2012 Kia Sorento has a separate wiring system. This means that the brake lights and turn signals are on different circuits/bulbs.
Trailers on the other hand have a combined system with the turn signals and brake lights on the same circuit/bulb. So you would not be able to just wire in a vehicle side 4-Way directly to the lights on the Sorento because you would either have brake lights or turn signals but not both.
You will need the proper harness that includes a converter for your Sorento. If you have an EX or LX V6 with factory tow package then you can use # HM11143965. If you have a model that does NOT have the factory tow package use # 118506.
If you do not know if you have a tow package or not you can have the dealer run the VIN to determine if the vehicle is equipped with the tow package or not. I have linked videos showing how each harness installs.
