Pro Series Weight Distribution System for Chevy Trailblazer Towing 24 Foot Travel Trailer
Question:
I am wondering which tongue weight, weight distribution package will work for my 2006 chevy trailblazer. I have a 24 ft 1994 scamper 2450T travel trailer. would the 550 rating one work or the 750 one both from pro series ps49901 or PS49582?

In order to choose the correct weight distribution system for your needs, you'll need to first determine the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer. To that figure, add the weight of any gear stowed in the cargo area of the SUV behind the rear axle. I've linked to an FAQ article that explains how to do this. These combined figures comprise the Total Tongue Weight (TTW) of your set-up. The TTW of your trailer should fall as close as possible to the middle of the effective range of the weight distribution system you choose.
If the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your travel trailer is under 550 lbs, then the # PS49901 would be a decent choice. If the tongue weight is above 550 lbs, go with # PS49582.
The Trailblazer has a relatively short wheelbase when compared to the length of your travel trailer, so you might need an additional sway control unit, part # 86330. The additional sway control unit would install on the other side of the coupler.
Both the Pro Series W/D units mentioned above include the weight distributing shank and the 2-5/16 inch trailer ball.
