Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Trailer Recommendation for Truck that Tows Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

Jameson recommended the cushioned fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter to use on my gooseneck ball equipped truck to pull a fifth wheel. why this over the BandW Companion hitch. Most forums I see say fifth wheel pulls smoother then a gooseneck.. ??????? Thanks for your time

I would recommend the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G that you referenced because it will install on the king pin of your trailer and will allow your truck with a gooseneck hitch to tow it easily.

This would allow for an easy transition for your truck to tow a gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer since the adapter will only be on the fifth wheel trailer.

Check out the install video I attached for more info.

I recommended the # CAB-C5G because I did not know you have B and W turnover gooseneck hitch installed in your truck. Had I known that I would have definitely recommended you go with either the # BWRVK3500 if you have a long bed or the part # BWRVK3400-5W if you have a short bed truck as this hitch has a slider. Either of these hitches will require that you have a B and W turnover ball gooseneck hitch in your truck.
