Is a Wheel Cap Recommended to Run Over a Bearing Buddy  

Question:

Hello I am installing new brakes 23-469, drum assembly 84546UC3, bearing buddy BB1980A and wheel assembly TTWA15RTM45SM on my 2003 keystone springdale travel trailer. My question is: do I need a double lip seal seal with the bearing buddy or the the one provided with the drum assembly will do? also is a wheel center cap needed with the bearing buddy? Thank you.

The grease seal that comes with the Dexter Trailer Hubs and Drums # 84546UC3-EZ that you referenced is a double lip seal so you would be fine in that regard.

Running a wheel center cap over a Bearing Buddy wouldn't be ideal as that would make the easy to use Bearing Buddy much more difficult since you would have to remove the rim. I would recommend not trying to fit one over it.
