Trunk-Mount 2-Bike Carrier Recommendation for 2014 Mazda CX5 with Roofline Spoiler
Question:
Im looking for a 2 bike carrier for our 2014 Mazda CX5 crossover which has a plastic spoiler factory at the top of the rear liftgate and I have difficulty understanding where the mounting straps are supposed to be attached. Is there possibly a picture or video that shows the completed assembly? Thanks for your help!

Many trunk-mount bike racks have trouble with vehicles that have a roofline spoiler as this vehicle feature can interfere with installation and the rack's mounting straps can put pressure on the spoiler. But the clever folks at Hollywood Racks came up with an ideal solution in their Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier # HRF2.
The linked video illustrates installation of this carrier whose unique frame design arches up and over the spoiler to avoid interference.
You may want to add a cable lock to secure your bikes, such as # e98891, and a rack security strap to help deter thieves, such as # TH533.
