Changing Trailer Hubs from Grease Type to Oil Bath Type
Question:
I wont to change my hob from grese hub to oil drums and bearing to use oil not gress

Oil bath hubs have a threaded bore that accepts the threaded oil cap that lets you see the oil level. If you want to change from grease-lubricated hubs to oil bath lubricated hubs you will need to make sure that your current bearings match up to those in one of the oil bath hub kits we offer, either # 8-219-9UC3-A or # 8-219-9UC3. Both of these hubs use the bearing set # 25580 inner and # 14125A outer.
If your current hubs use this bearing set and if their 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern is correct then you can choose one of these kits. They differ in the inner diameter dimension of their seal. Kit # 8-219-9UC3-A has a 2-1/4-inch inner diameter seal and kit # 8-219-9UC3 has a 2-1/8-inch inner diameter seal. You can check your spindle dimension when you are checking your bearings to see if either of these kits will work on your trailer.
