Dexter E-Z Flex Rubber Suspension System # K71-653-00 Fitment on 2005 Outback 28RSDS Trailer

Question:

Hi, I own a 2005 Outback 28RSDS which has, I believe, AlKO axles. Id like to replace the shackle plates and bolts and equalizer with this Dexter kit. Will it work properly with this system? If so, I assume the nylon bushings in the spring eyes have to come out. Correct? Thanks

The Dexter E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System # K71-653-00 is designed to be used with 35 inch axle spacing and a 8,000 lb capacity specification. On your trailer, if you measure the distance between the center of one axle to the center of the next axle it needs to measure 35 inches. The axle capacity needs to be 4,000 lbs. or less per axle.

If you have 33 inch axle spacing you can use the Dexter E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System # K71-652-00 and it has a 6,000 lb capacity. The axle capacity needs to be 3,000 lbs. or less per axle.

These systems are for spring width of 1-3/4 inches, so you will have to measure your spring width.

The nylon bushings do not have to be removed, they need to stay.
