Differences Between Models of Yates Keel Rollers, # 8000 and # 8244

Question:

How does one choose between Yates model 8000 and a model 8244 8inch keel roller. I have a semi vee that is under 500 lbs empty and maybe 650 with motors and batteries. I need to replace a 1986 Shore Landr original keel roller. Is the 8000 adequate for my situation? There really is not info or specs available on how to chose a replacement based on weight. Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Yates and he said Yates 8-Inch Heavy Duty Keel Roller, part # YR8000, and the super-heavy-duty model, part # YR8244-105EC will have the same load capacity of 400 lbs. The keel rollers on a boat trailer are for positioning the boat on the trailer and do not have to carry much, if any weight of the boat. Really the only difference is the diameter of the rollers. The super heavy duty has a 3-1/2" diameter as opposed to a 3-3/8" diameter.

I am including links to video reviews on the Yates keel rollers.
