Question:
I have a 2006tracker trailstar trailer that had 5.30 -12 tires. I replaced them with 4.80-12 5-4 1/2 tires. Will it still work for my 170 bass tracker boat?

It all depends on the load range for the 4.80-12 tires you are using. If they are load range B then they would be rated for 785 pounds at 60 psi. If they are load range C then they would be rated for 990 pounds at 90 psi. It should say the capacity on the tire sidewall.
The combined capacity of all the tires will need to exceed the gross trailer weight when loaded and ready to tow.
Both the 5.30-12 and the 4.80-12 will fit the same width 12 inch wheel. So for 4.80-12 tires in a load range B use # AM10060. For load range C use # TTWSF48012C.
